SELF COMPASSION WORKSHOP FOR ANIMAL CARERS & ACTIVISTS
_edited.jpg
Meet Your Teachers

Siladasa and Dhiracharita are ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order

Siladasa (one who serves ethics) Became vegetarian at 19 and has been vegan for the past 30 years. As a neurologist he was familiar with the effects of trauma and stress on the nervous system, and learned that emotional pain is usually expressed physically one way or another. An experienced meditation teacher, Siladasa will be our guide to some simple practices for increasing awareness of body and mind and cultivating kindness, thereby enabling greater resilience and compassionate self-care.

Dhiracharita (she whose spiritual practise is constant) From a very early age has had a strong sense that the planet is a living entity and any damage or harm done is harm done to all life. As a climate change activist, mother and animal lover, Dhiracharita understands the power of meditation to improve emotional resilience and self compassion.
